
Prinzhorn Dance School are a Brighton-based boy/girl duo signed to disco-rock don James Murphy’s DFA Records. Their eponymous debut release included the stripped down post-punk tracks ‘Eat, Sleep’ and ‘You Are The Space Invaders’.
Prinzhorn Dance School’s debut was featured in The Sunday Telegraph ‘best 120 albums of all time’ list in 2007 and the band further garnered acclaim when the following year when their 2008 song ‘You Are The Space Invader’ was used as the soundtrack to the HBO Cinemax trailer for the film Transformers.
Prinzhorn Dance School’s songs include memorable titles such as ‘Do You Know Your Butcher’ and ‘Hamworthy Sports & Leisure Centre’. See the wondorous and idiosyncratic duo at The Lexington on 19th September.
