Strawbs, the progressive folk-rock band play The Borderline on February 25th. The band started out in the 1960s and were previously known as the Strawberry Hill Boys. Fronted by long-standing member, the gruff-voiced Dave Cousins they’ve had several incarnations over the years most recently Yes’ Rick Wakeman’s son Oliver has taken on keyboard duties.
Strawbs’ most recent album ‘Dancing To The Devil’s Beat’, was released last year and coincided with the band’s 40th anniversary – their first single ‘Oh How She Changed’ was released in 1959. Fans can expect to hear favourites including hits ‘Lay Down’ and ‘Part Of The Union’.
