Robert Forster is an Australian singer-songwriter. He’s best known for his work with songwriting partner Grant McLennan with whom he co-founded the much-loved cult band the Go-Betweens. As well as his creative output with the Go-Betweens he has released five solo albums to date.
Robert Forster’s most recent effort, ‘The Evangelist’, was his first album in twelve years. In 2006 his fellow Go-Betweener Grant McLennan died suddenly and the album features three of the last songs the pair wrote together, included a tribute to his bandmate.
