Late Of The Pier, the madcap electro-poppers, will perform at the HMV Forum on 17th February. 2008 was quite a year for the Donington four-piece – they spent half of it honing their chaotic, brilliant live show and the other recording debut album ‘Fantasy Black Channel’, which was released in August and features 12 of the most bewitching tracks of mind-blowing musical schizophrenia you’ll ever hear. Expect singles ‘Heartbeat’, ‘The Bears Are Coming’ and the Numan-esque ‘Space And The Woods’ to be the main features in their set and, if that wasn’t enough for the senses, check out their neon nu-rave clobber too – Late Of The Pier are a band as bonkers as their music suggests. Unmissable.
